We called around before signing up for a fishing charter to find out which boat captains usually catch fish. Found out that Mike Linker has been fishing these coastal waters for 30 years and has won several fishing tournaments. So we decided to take our chances and go on a ½ day trip. Wow, did it ever pay off. We caught spot tail bass, red fish, flounder, sea bass and shark. What a great experience.

We found Beaufort Coastal Adventures online at www.beaufortfishingcharter.com. Called and scheduled a full day trip off shore 20 miles and specifically asked if we could fish over an old sunken boat we had heard of call the Betsy Ross. Mike Linker said he fishes there frequently and would be happy to take us. My son and I really did not care what species we caught, just so we brought home some fish to eat. Did we ever; we caught 9 red fish between 2-5 pounds, 2 sea bass, 3 flounder, 4 small sharks and a tarpon. An experience we will never forget.
